My Story

There came a point where I felt it, the kind of exhaustion that rest couldn’t touch. I was giving everything to others and to the work in front of me, and somewhere in that constant giving, I started to lose sight of myself. I was working more hours than I was paid for, often at home, when my time and energy should have been invested elsewhere. I got to the point where I was emotionally and physically drained.

I knew something had to change, but the questions weren’t simple.

Was I supposed to push through?

Reinvent?

Did I even know who I was outside of the role I’d built?

A late‑in‑life dyslexia diagnosis, combined with the pressure to learn new skills and technology just to keep up, added another layer to the overwhelm. I could guide others through their challenges with clarity, yet applying the same tools to myself felt harder. Especially while navigating burnout, imposter syndrome, and a shrinking sense of self‑awareness.

So I paused. I reflected. And I began to put myself first ahead of work and others.

I explored what I needed, how I learned, and what support would genuinely help me move forward. I drew on my mental health and wellbeing knowledge, my life coach training, my lived experience, and years of mentoring in corporate environments.

I realised I couldn’t do this on my own.

And so I invested in professional development and surrounded myself with people I trusted,  people who helped me reconnect with what I could influence in my thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, not just with colleagues, clients, family, and friends, but with myself.

I got honest about what was draining me and what was missing. And from that honesty came clarity. I found a way forward that felt aligned with who I am, NOT just the logical Next Step on someone else’s map.

Identity blur. Crossroads. Burnout.

I’ve stood in those places.

And now I’m here to help you take a breath, Reflect, Reset, Renew and reconnect with your own direction, so that you can take your next step with intention, not pressure.
